Picasso Dular’s most recognizable work is bright and colourful, often marked by elements of surrealism and the macabre. From dark, Lovecraftian portraits to vibrant animal hybrids, Picasso’s style shines in large scale, full colour pieces. He was born in Seattle, raised on the Island of Hawaii and spent the intervening years living throughout the United States, from California to New York. His love and aptitude for art across multiple disciplines eventually brought him to begin tattooing in Chicago when he was in his early 20s. Fast forward almost 20 years, and Picasso has appeared on two seasons of the hit Spike TV show Ink Master, featured in a 3D Discovery Channel program about skin and even tattooed Rita Ora live on her MTV show Hip Hop POV.
Picasso’s mother says that he first picked up a pencil at the age of 2, and he hasn’t really put it down, since. An accomplished musician and artist in mediums that range from skin to metal, Picasso spends most of his free time training for and competing in fighting game tournaments and playing with kitties.
